FAQ
If you’re into exploring the wilderness, meeting like-minded adventurers, and getting a little active then you’re in the right place! However, to help all of our trips, we let you know who the trip is perfect for, and a fitness ranking out of 5 to give you an idea (1 means no fitness level required, 5 means super duper fit!). But if you are unsure you can always pop us a message.
With our buses allowing a maximum of 8 people, our trips are mainly designed for solo and pair travellers. With the Scarangar Community ethos, we encourage the group to bond and enjoy the holiday together to experience activities, create memories and hopefully build new friendships that continue beyond the trip. Our trips welcome explorers from every walk of life, who all share the same zest for life and curiosity about the world around them.
Every trip will have its own host and bus driver. They will be your leaders throughout the trip, ensuring that you feel safe, informed and part of our community. Our hosts may also double up as your coach, tour guide or chef, but be assured they all have the relevant experience, qualifications and checks for their roles.
We of course love the vibe of family holidays, however, our trips are not suitable for children under the age of 16. However, if you would like to rent the bus for a private family or group trip, please send us an email with details of your request.
There is no pressure for you to do any of the activities laid out in the itinerary. If for personal or health reasons you feel that you do not want to participate that day, you are welcome to stay aboard the bus as much as you like. However, if you decide to not partake in a pre-paid activity, decide to leave early or cannot make the whole trip, you will not be reimbursed for what is missed.
We endeavour to make our trips as accessible and inclusive as possible. We welcome onboard people of any age, diet, religion, race, gender and sexuality. However, our buses are not currently wheelchair accessible, and narrow stairs and lack of disabled toilets may cause problems for passengers with physical disabilities.
